Program: 10,000 SF interiors for a financial services company

Solution: This interior design project involved the design and build-out of one floor of the central wharf building at Rowe's Wharf for a high end financial services firm.

Low floor-to-floor heights in combination with the need for a fully-raised floor posed the challenge of how to make the ceiling height not seem cramped. Delicate, paired wood trim lines were used to create a visual zone above the wood paneling that successfully addressed this concern and creates the illusion of a taller ceiling than exists. Custom millwork detailing in the public areas included Sapele Pommele veneer wood paneling, etched glass and brass hardware, inserts and custom fittings. Mahogany trim and etched glass doors in wood frames were used through-out all office areas, and standard metal files were concealed in custom wood-paneled enclosures. The kitchen and employee lounge area was intentionally designed as a lighter and brighter contrast to the more traditionally-inspired public areas.
