TEN CAMBRIDGE CENTER
Cambridge, Massachusetts

Program: 7 story, 120,000 SF office building

Solution: The building was conceived as a simple rectangular form, elegantly articulated. In plan, the corner entrance responds to an urban park along Broadway that leads to the Cambridge Center North Garage (also designed by Michael T. Doherty).

The building steps in profile at the top of the 2nd and 6th floors, denoting a distinct base, middle and top to the facade.  The skin of brick and curtainwall, with precast and granite accents, echoes those of nearby Kendall Square's historic manufacturing and warehouse buildings.

Inside, a 2 story lobby with repetitive bay window elements leads to an efficient core, while minimal interior columns allow uninterrupted office space on all floors.
